Geoff Shaw

Geoff commenced his post-graduate career as a Sales Coordinator with 3M New Zealand before spending a tough year in sales with another American multinational.
He joined one of New Zealand's oldest executive recruitment/search firms, APC in 1986, completing industry training and being involved in leadership roles with what is now the RCSA industry body on the membership and ethics groups.
Following the turmoil of the late 80's, he continued the recruitment brand APC Marketing in 1990, specialising in leadership, sales and marketing roles, plus a joint venture with the University of Auckland - Department of Marketing which focused on building talent pipelines across NZ and multinational businesses, including Sanitarium, Johnson and Johnson, SC Johnson, Red Bull, Heinz Wattie and others.
In 2001 APC merged with Swann Group to create Swann Executive ( later rebranded to Saturn Group). Geoff became a partner still working across many of the same clients and increasingly involved in developing the succession/transition offering, bringing new capability and equity into NZ's economic engineroom the small and medium enterprise market .
In 2014 he moved to Wellington to develop the succession transition outside the Auckland market, working with clients across the Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Manawatu and Wellington regions.
Geoff is closely involved with Food and Grocery Council, having conducted the Industry Salary Survey since 1989, sits on the Membership Services Working Group for the FGC
